After serving a four year apprenticeship on the Isle of Wight in the UK, David became a qualified farrier in February 1996 after passing his final farriers examination and attaining the Diploma of the Worshipful Company of Farriers certificate. The UK farrier registration and training scheme is recognised as being one of the most comprehensive and produces the highest overall standards of farriers in the world.
After operating a very busy farriery practice in the North-west of England for seven years, David relocated to New Zealand in 2003 and is now able to balance his work-load with an exciting lifestyle in Christchurch, New Zealand.
He estimates that he has invested in excess of NZ$1,000,000 on his own education and personal development over the years.
David is passionate about the education of farriers and horse owners. In his spare time, he enjoys health, fitness and can often be seen walking in the Port Hills or working out with friends in the park. |
